Essential Documentation Required

Valid driving licence and national ID card or passport – original documents only accepted.

• Payment is due on collection day at our office or designated meeting point
• We accept cash payments or Visa, Mastercard, and debit cards
• When booking through our online platform rentacarsanpedro.com, please present your booking confirmation
• The hirer must present a driving licence valid for over 2 years plus residence card, national ID, or passport. Minimum age requirement is 24 years – those not meeting these criteria will need to purchase additional insurance cover
• Upon vehicle collection, we’ll place a temporary hold on your debit/credit card, or you may leave a cash deposit. The amount varies by vehicle model, ranging from €250 to €1,000. To avoid this charge, simply present a credit card in the driver’s name

General Terms & Conditions

• Vehicles may not leave the country except for travel to Portugal and Gibraltar with prior notice
• Premium insurance option includes unlimited mileage within Andalusia for rental periods under 20 days
• Monthly contracts (long-term hire) include 3,000km within Spanish territory. Excess mileage charges apply according to company rates or may be debited from your deposit card
• Insurance becomes void if driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or unauthorised medications, or for speeding violations. In such cases, the hirer bears full responsibility for any damages
• Rental prices include mandatory insurance cover and comprehensive third-party liability protection
• This insurance policy does not cover theft, lost keys, or damage to luggage, merchandise, or personal items transported in the vehicle
• Under no circumstances are damages covered for: vehicle undercarriage, windows, tyres/wheels caused by overloading, exceeding speed limits, or driving on forest tracks, mountain paths, beaches, or unsuitable terrain
• The hirer must report any accident or damage to the vehicle’s interior or exterior to Wiki Rent a Car San Pedro de Alcántara within 24 hours maximum. Failure to comply may result in the company taking appropriate measures to enforce this obligation
• Smoking of any kind (tobacco/vaping/other substances) is strictly prohibited inside the vehicle. Should the vehicle show any signs of smoking (odour/ash residue etc.) upon return, a comprehensive cleaning fee will be charged
• The hirer must refuel the vehicle with appropriate fuel. Using incorrect fuel type will result in the customer bearing all mechanical and recovery costs to our premises
• The hirer agrees not to transport more passengers than authorised nor carry unauthorised cargo in the rental vehicle
• Subletting the vehicle to other parties or using it for passenger transport services (taxi service) is strictly forbidden
• The hirer accepts full responsibility for traffic violations or breaches of other regulations, bearing all resulting consequences
• Should Wiki Rent a Car San Pedro de Alcántara receive any fines, the company will notify the driver at the address specified in the rental agreement
• All legal and extra-legal costs, including solicitor and barrister fees arising from vehicle misuse, remain the hirer’s responsibility
• This contract becomes effective from the time and date of signing upon vehicle collection
• The hirer must return the vehicle at the same collection time with a 2-hour grace period. Exceeding this margin may result in an additional day’s rental charge. Rental extensions require visiting our Wiki Rent a Car San Pedro de Alcántara office to sign the extension agreement and process payment. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability and cannot be arranged by telephone, email, or text message

Contract Duration

The rental contract duration is as specified on the front of the agreement, showing collection and return dates and times. A rental day refers to a 24-hour period from the commencement time, with a 2-hour courtesy period allowed for return. Maximum contract duration is 30 days, renewable. Should the customer choose to terminate the rental before the agreed date, no refund will be provided for early return.

Vehicle Return & Fuel Policy

• The vehicle must be returned in the same clean condition as provided. Our staff will inspect the vehicle and may identify missing items or excessive dirt such as seat stains, pet hair, tobacco residue, or damage from misuse. In such cases, damages or missing items will be charged at €100
• Should the vehicle not be returned on the contract expiry date, we will contact the registered person. If calls and messages go unanswered, the company will consider this unlawful appropriation and file a report with Marbella National Police, who will recover the vehicle. In this instance, we will treat the matter as theft
• The vehicle is provided with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. Fuel shortages will incur charges: €50 for below full tank, €100 for below half tank
• Vehicle mileage is unlimited within Andalusia. For travel outside Andalusia, mileage allowance is 150km per day from contract start to finish, except for monthly long-term rentals which include 3,000km throughout Spanish territory. Excess mileage charges apply at €0.35 or €0.50 per additional kilometre
• Items left in the vehicle upon return will be stored by Wiki Rent a Car San Pedro de Alcántara for 2 months, after which we will dispose of them.

Booking Cancellation

• Cancellations made 48 hours before vehicle collection will receive a full refund of rental payments
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before collection are non-refundable
• To waive this restriction and cancel up to the moment of vehicle collection, you may select our cancellation insurance option available on our website rentacarsanpedro.com

Right to Cancel

Wiki Rent a Car San Pedro de Alcántara reserves the right to cancel any booking with immediate effect and without compensation to the customer for any resulting inconvenience.

Insurance Cover

• BASIC INSURANCE OPTION: Our basic insurance provides standard collision protection, covering damage to third-party vehicles only. For our vehicle, you’ll pay the excess applicable to your chosen vehicle, ranging from €800 to €1,500 depending on the model. Daily mileage allowance is 150km.
• This insurance does not include roadside assistance or unlimited mileage.
• In case of accident, the previously blocked excess will be retained until vehicle repairs are completed. The customer will never pay more than this amount.
• This insurance requires a deposit between €250-€600 to cover lost keys, additional cleaning charges, extra day fees, or fuel shortages.
• PREMIUM INSURANCE OPTION: Comprehensive cover with no excess, including 24-hour roadside assistance and unlimited mileage within Andalusia, with coverage extending to Portugal and Gibraltar.
• Neither insurance option covers tyres, windows, or vehicle undercarriage. To include this protection, you must select the Guarantee Plus option available on our website rentacarsanpedro.com
• This insurance requires a deposit between €250-€600 to cover lost keys, additional cleaning charges, extra day fees, or fuel shortages.

Contract Signature

All rental conditions detailed in this contract appendix and on the reverse of the agreement are accepted and considered read upon signing.

Translation

Translations of the general rental conditions provided by Wiki Rent a Car San Pedro de Alcántara are for informational purposes only and carry no legal validity in any detail of their translation. Only the Spanish version holds legal validity in court proceedings.

Vehicle Geolocation

PURPOSE: The geolocation system installed in Wiki Rent a Car San Pedro de Alcántara vehicles will only be activated in cases of theft or vehicle suspicion, and when customers experience roadside incidents or require our assistance to locate the vehicle and provide necessary support. It will also be used to monitor customer mileage.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING: The legitimate basis for geolocation processing in suspected theft cases lies in Wiki Rent a Car San Pedro de Alcántara’s interest in safeguarding its vehicle fleet. To achieve this objective, these geolocation devices have been installed with appropriate security measures applied, based on provisions in Article 32 of the GDPR. The legitimate basis for system activation is approved by the geolocation device company.

THIRD-PARTY DISCLOSURE: Data will not be shared with third parties except when legally required.

RETENTION PERIOD: Geolocation information obtained from vehicles will be automatically deleted by the company 30 days after vehicle return, unless data must be made available to competent authorities when requested through official correspondence from an official body.

MINIMISATION: Under no circumstances will the geolocation system be used continuously for monitoring or tracking purposes by Wiki Rent a Car San Pedro de Alcántara.
